Site-specific wooden bench made completely out of wood (including all joints and fasteners).
The bench is made completely out of poplar, using wooden peg joints and glue-lamination of thin poplar veneers glued together and clamped in a mold to create the curved members. The edge of the bench is raised slightly so users won’t hit their feet on the planter, while the back is curved slightly for comfort.
The curved sections are made using the process of glue-lamination, creating a stronger member.
