︎︎︎Kickstarter (2018)
I define delight as the intersection of positive and unexpected, and I hope that these ATTENTION signs are something delightful for people to stumble across in their everyday lives. They assure the viewer that they deserve the specificity of “every happiness,” not just the fleeting state of “being happy.” These signs are based on actual OSHA regulation signs and constructed to last of heavy-duty aluminum.

I’ve anonymously installed them in pedestrian-friendly public spaces across the US, usually in the vicinity of other official signage to reward those who pay closer attention. The longest guerrilla installation has lasted over two years, but viewer found photos have gone viral online. They have been mistakenly attributed to the City of Minneapolis.

In 2018, I ran a successful Kickstarter (263% funded with nearly $20k raised) so hundreds of backers across the country could install or keep a sign of their own.
